Jobseekrs Limited is the brainchild Jamaal Brathwaite, a millennial entrepreneur skilled in business development and customer relations. After research, Jamaal found a consistent view that the current job search and matching process was very frustrating, where candidates and employers would go through multiple rounds of interviews before realizing the company or job role wasn’t a great fit. Jamaal thought that if you could get a taxi, date and even a doctor through an app – why, in this day and age, couldn’t you be quickly matched to a suitable job and company on your smartphone? The idea stuck with him and from this humble idea, an ultra-fast job matching, video application was created. His mission is to build Jobseekrs into the world’s most millennial-centric company, where millennials can be inspired, discover and matched with suitable opportunities and great companies. To achieve this, Jamaal aims to create the fastest, artificial intelligence powered, video interactive, job –matching & culture-fit career solution, for millennials worldwide. Company culture will play a huge part in the retention of skilled talent (and that doesn’t just mean simply putting in games machines and ordering pizza on Mondays). According to LinkedIn’s 2017 Global Recruiting Trend report, 52% of hiring managers say differentiating the right candidate from a sea of applicants is the most difficult part of the hiring process and 77% say that recruiters’ screening processes are inadequate and lack employer branding or visual information about a company. In the UK and the US, more job seekers are turning to mobile devices for their job search. Research shows a great need for optimized mobile job and career sites. In 2014, the leading jobsite worldwide ‘Indeed’ and the number one job app in the UK, released international research examining the search habits of job seekers across Australia, the UK, and US. Globally, 62% of job seekers are using mobile devices for their job search. 55% of jobseekers cite ’convenience’ as the core driver for mobile job search, while 66% of individuals would apply for a job on a mobile device if the process was simplified. This research represents a new picture of the modern, millennial job seeker. Millennials, care much more about culture, engagement, work-life balance, and autonomy. They are looking to attach themselves to a company they can actually care about and engage with. Jobseekrs believes that the key thing is for companies and brands to be fully authentic and transparent.
